Meet Miss Melanie

Hi, I’m Miss Melanie, and I’m so truly happy you’re here.

Maple & Moon was born from a dream to create a beautiful, welcoming place where children can slow down, use their hands, and experience the joy of making something meaningful. As both a mother and a lifelong creative, I’ve always been drawn to thoughtful spaces, charming details, and experiences that make everyday life feel just a little more special.

At home, I’m mama to my daughter, Amelia — a joyful, imaginative, and wonderfully creative five-year-old who keeps our days full of color, curiosity, and laughter. She attends The River Academy, and so much of Maple & Moon has been inspired by watching her create, explore, and delight in the magic of being little.

You’ll often find me volunteering at Eastmont Community Church in the children’s ministry, where I love serving and connecting with local families.

I’ve been happily married for 25 years, and at the heart of everything I do is a deep love for family, connection, and creating meaningful experiences for others.

I understand that dropping your child off somewhere new — especially in someone’s home — requires trust.

Please know that Maple & Moon is intentionally designed to feel:

Each class is kept small so I can give every child the attention, encouragement, and care they deserve. My goal is for every child to feel comfortable, confident, and proud of what they create.

I am deeply passionate about ensuring each child has a personal, unique, and truly wonderful experience every time they walk through our doors.

Our Space
Set on our historic farmhouse property in Wenatchee, Maple & Moon is a peaceful, light-filled place where little makers gather, create, and simply enjoy being children.

This is more than a class — it’s an experience rooted in warmth, beauty, and intention.
